A Hobby that go out of Hand!

This is the largest private collection of miltary vechiles and war time memorabila in the south west.

It is the result of one man's obsession for collecting militaria from tin hats to tanks.

Preston Issac's lovely collecting began ove 50 years ago and his collection is still growing.

There is always something new to see in this undercover collection in three hangar type buildings. The displays are viewed in setting in which they would have operated. The glider fuselage depicting a D Day landing was built for the film "A Bridge Too Far".

The "Home Front" Building was opened in 2004 in which various displays show different aspects of civilan life in war time Britain.

A Red Cross Nurse prepares for casulties at her First Aid Post. The WVS are ready with tea! The ARP post is staffed by two young women and the Home post is staffed by two young women and the Home guard have their HQ and there is even a rustic farmyard scene with two Land Girls.

Ration Books ID Cards, Gas Masks and Poster and other long forgotten items are on display.

The seasonal NAAFI wagon serves a selection of light refreshments. The Quatermasters Stores offers a range of militaria, books and souvienirs.
