This railway offers the complete steam train experience. As well as the railway itself, there is a museum and workshop, historical trains, stations and artefact's, a large model railway. You will also find lovely riverside walks, a maze to explore along with a picnic area and wooded parkland.
Take either a return jouney or alight at Littlehempston station which is just 20 minute walk from the historic town of Totnes where you will find many interesting shops and old buildings with plenty of places for a snack such as the various tea rooms and pubs.
A vintage Bus Service most days to and from Buckfast Abbey and Buckfastleigh Town Centre.
The railway offers various events throughout the year such as 'Heritage Transport Gala and Open Day', 'A Day out with Thomas' and Country Branch Line' amongst others. A joint ticket covering entrance to Buckfast Butterflies and Otter Sanctuary along with your train ticket is available.
Most trains have a buffet car serving snacks and hot and cold drinks, on Sunday afternoons during the Summer you will find Devon cream teas are available. For a real treat, why not have a three course meal on board the Ocean Liner Express (Booking Required).
Free coach and car parking is available. School groups and other parties welcome (Please phone ahead)
