This page is about Bennetts Water Gardens in Weymouth, Dorset
A great place to have a wonder relax, this 8 acre creation consists of numerous lakes and ponds, hosting some of the best water lillies in Britain which can been seen in the Summer. You will see some large wet loving plants, palms wild flowers, reed beds and trees. These all attract a wide range of wildlife which is what has made this a site of Nature Conservation interest.
The History of Chicekerall Village is partly covered by the on-site Museum, which shows the site as Brickworks in 1859. Also there is a Tropical house with its collection of Cacti, an aquatic centre, nature trail suitable for the family and of course a gift shop.
The on-site Nursury offers for sale a selection of water lillies and other auquatic plants which are all grown in-house in the site nursury.
There are a good range of facilities including access to the gardens for wheelchair users, free parking and the Monet Tearooms which server a selection of snacks and drinks including the famous Dorset Cream Tea! (Don't miss out on this if you are visiting Dorset!)
