This interactive Science centre will amuse and educate both young and old with its hands on exhibits, such as the hand-shake mirror, which creates a life size image of anything placed near it, or the crackle disc, within which you can view 300mm long flashes of blue lighning sparks - Touch the glass and the sparks will chase your hand! If you have seen the well known plasma globes, then you know what to expect. The centre has throughfully provided these at different height levels. Also dont miss 'floating on air' which demonstrates the power of different sized magnets as they whiz around a table top on a cushion of air, constantly trying to get away from each other! There are many other exhibits, most of which have some sort of interactive element to them. This is a great place to introduce children to science.

Open all year seven days a week March to December.
* Closed Mondays and Tuesdays in Jan / Feb. (Open school holidays). * Open at 10.00 am.
* Last admission 4.30pm (7.00pm School Summer Holidays)
* Access by lift, stairs and at street level.
* Closed 25th to 27th December and last two weeks in January.
