The Glosters" The Gloucester Regiment has been involved in many turning points in British History as well as battles in the American Revolutionary war, defeating Napoleon and fighting communisum in Korea. The museum shows their courage humour, traditions and sacrifices in exciting and colourful exhibitions.
Their is something for everyoneto explore and research in the Exhibitons which include displays of uniforms, medals, weapons and souvenirs from all over the world. These have been donated by past soliders and their families as a tribute to their service and sacrifice.
If you are seeking an Ancestor who may have served in the 28 th N. Gloucestershire Regiment during the 19 Century or in the First World War there is a database of nearly 10,000 entries and 40,000 in the GreatWar database.
School visits for primary and Secondary schools in the neighbouring counties can be arranged with guided tours and work sheets covering KS 3 and $ with a powerpoint presentation and a talk by a retired English teacher.
