Run by the Zoological Society of London, London Zoo is home to an impressive number of animals including African hunting dogs, Penguins, jellyfish, Komodo Dragon and many, many more.

The Zoo is split into distinct areas, such as 'Into Africa', 'Zoo World' and 'Butterfly Paradise' to mention but a few.

The ZSL (Zoological Society of London) plays a very active role in conservation, with involvement in some 30 countries worldwide such as Marine and Freshwater, Deserts and Rangelands, Carnivores & People and UK Native Species.

There are various events held throughout the year at London Zoo such as early morning walks, science meetings and Zoo Nights. There are also daily events - Meet the Monkeys, Penguin Feeding, B.U.G.S, Childrens Zoo and others.

Dont miss out on the new £5.3 million Gorilla Kingdom, and the Clore Rainforest Lookout which is also a new exhibit.

The Zoo has a gift shop selling a range of items. For a snack or meal, there is the Oasis Café, the Oasis Picnic Shop, Fish and chips, or the Aquarium kiosk.
