One of the " Great Little Trains Of Wales" and prehaps the best known and oldest Railway Company in the world. A Day Rover Ticket allows you to break your journey - you could stay at Tan Y Bwlch in the heart of Snowdonia National Park. The licensed cafe here serves hot and cold snacks and locally baked cakes while back at Porthmadog Spooners Bar serves hot and cold snacks through to evening meals. Most of the trains also have a buffet service in the corridor coaches.

Vintage Trains run between Porthmadog and Minfford during busier time of the year. These include a fascinating collection of historic carriages and locomotives dating back to th 1860's.

The Ffestiniog Railway was the first to introduce steam on a narrow gauge and two of the first four locomotives are still runhning as well as original carriages. The line appeals to both the enthusiast and the Visitor who delights in outstanding scenery.
