This is an exciting destanation for visitors to the roof top of Wales. The Snowdon Summit building will give travellers amazing unimpired views over the Snowdon range. Visitors have travelled on the railway since 1896. On very clear days it is possible to see the Wicklew Mountains in Ireland and the Isle of Man.
Snowdon is a mountain of legend. It is said to be the birth place of Orge Rhiba who was vanquished by King Arhur. Some people believe that kING Arthurs knights still sleep beneath the mountain. Your journey to the Summit takes you past a spectacular waterfall, amazing views at Clogwyn station, crosses two viaducts, through Rocky Valley to the craggy peak where ther is a Visitor Centre. There are gift shops at Llanberis and the summit which offers a range of souvenirs. The Llanberis cafe serves coffee, pastries, afternoon tea and cakes, hot dishes and sandwiches.
