This page is about Mid Hants Railway Watercress Line in Alresford, Hampshire
Experience history in motion as you travel by steam or heritage diesel train
through 10 miles of beautiful Hampshire countryside between Alresford and
Alton.
The railway is staffed almost entirely by volunteers whose objective it is
to preserve part of the railways heritage.
Open weekends January to October, plus bank holidays and Tuesdays to
Thursdays, May to Sept and every day during August.
Special events run throughout the year such as 'Day out with Thomas', War on
the line (1940's event), Bus Rally, Steam Gala, Wizard week, Santa Specials
and more! We also offer luxury dining, real ale trains, driving a steam
engine courses, Footplate rides, group travel, gift vouchers, private hire
and children's birthday parties.
