This page is about The Kings Royal Hussars Museum in Winchester, Hampshire
This Regimental Museum offers the opportunity to find out about the three famous cavalry regiments, situated in the Home Headquarters (South), Peninsula Barracks in Winchester.
The museum has a selection of exhibits and displays from life size models to medals, musical instruments, swords, uniforms, paintings and maps. There is also a number of vehicles on display outside the museum.
Interactive displays include a virtual tour of a Challenger 2 tank and recordings of crewmens stories.
You can find out about the rich history of the King's Royal Hussars service in Kosovo, Northern Ireland, Iraq and Bosnia. You will also discover information about its previous regiments such as the 10th Royal Hussars (PWO) and 11th Hussars (PAO - Prince Albert's Own).
A visit to the museum will give you give you an insight into the history of the regiment dating from 1715 to modern day.
