Here is a first class year roun d wetland wildlife attraction. Martin Meres wildlife Garden is home to more than 100 species of rare and endangered water birds and also beavers. In the Beaver enclousure you will be amazed at tree felling, dam building lodge making work of the beavers since their in 2007.
The site covers 150 hectares with over wintering swans and geese and a range of summer wading birds which in season you can watch from 10 hides around the reserve.
In mid summer you can enjoy the baby ducklings when guided tours take you through the outdoor nursery where the young are reared.
Added to all this is an adventure playgroung with slides and swan flyways for the yongsters.
Every season brings new visitors to the wetland, Whooper swans, pink Footed Geese and occasionally an Osprey as well as many others.
Bats, moths and Butterflies and small mammals as well as Highland cattle and rare breed Hebridean sheep.
The wild fowl and wetlands trust is a leading conservation orginisation and the only Uk charity with a network of specialist Wetland Visitor Centres, Education Programmes, wedding receptions or confrences can be arranged.
