This page is about Fishing Heritage Centre, Lincolnshire
Visit the Heritage Centre and again a facinating insight into Grimsby's martime history, in the 1950's. The centre is more than a museum - the interactive displays give you an idea of the dangers and hard work which faced the crew men of the day.
Climb aboard the Ross Tiger Trawler for a guided tour. Sign on as a crew member and experience sea sickness on the moving deck! Take the helm and set a ships course. Dress up in a costume from the dressing up box and get into the spirt of life as a fisherman in the 1950's. Then, your feet back on dry land, wander through a recreated grimsby street with traditional stores, a public house and fish and chip shop!
Relax after all that in the Monkey Pig and Pie Cafe, with hot or cold lunches, teas and homemade cakes.
Buy a creative themed gift in the gift shop, meetings, conferences or trainning courses can also be held here and various exhibitions take place during the year.
